Up today: The Legal System
Now the legal system in this topsy-turvy comic book world can be a little intimidating and down-right scary. Most good parents strongly lecture their children about staying out of trouble. This is done for many reasons. First, parents do not want their children growing up to be villains, especially super-villains. A superhero in the family is always hoped for; however, a law abiding citizen is valued as well.
The second reason parents caution their children is that they never want to see them go to court. Court can be a very, shall we say, disturbing place in this land.
Daughter to Dad: (sobbing) "Oh Dad, I know you told me not to speed in the car, boo hoo, but I just got a ticket."
Dad to Daughter: "----"
Daughter to Dad: "Oh Dad, say something. Boo Hoo."
Dad to Daughter: "Daughter, I enjoyed having you as my daughter, while it lasted."
